Description
MMM Consulting is the Romania based Licensed Partner of Persona Global, a people performance development management consultancy, and a partner of PerformanSe, a HR consulting company based in France. They develop management and leadership programs for both Romania and other 13 European markets, delivering training programs on the following areas of expertise: personal development, organizational development, organizational learning and virtual learning, covered in courses such as Train of Trainers, Persuasive Communicator, Smart leadership, etc.
MMM Consulting has an experience of over 15 years in delivering tailored training programs, with more than 1500 trainees from companies such as TAROM, Danone, Carrefour, Raiffeisen Bank, and so on. When we first discussed, they talked about their need to deliver effective training programs that enhance knowledge and skills for their clients, using the most efficient approach for them, which is that of hybrid learning. They were specifically looking for a collaborative platform that could help them in delivering courses to two manufacturing companies with operations all over Europe, including Romania, over a timeframe of an year.
Their approach was the following: first, they traveled to the client’s locations, delivering face to face courses, and then they continued and enhanced the learning process by means of Knolyx, were they uploaded all the training materials and resources, encouraging trainees to upload their work and their assignments too, so that Knolyx incorporated all their work with their client over a one year learning program.
Approach
We conducted a few calls to better understand their approach to training delivery, their needs and their clients’ needs in terms of learning and what features are the most appropriate to support their learning approach. We offered a series of demos to make sure that the platform is as intuitive and user friendly as possible, for both the participants and the trainees taking part in the learning process, having our support team available to answer any questions related to the registration process and the set up.
Also, starting from their request to have a collaborative learning platform, we introduced to them the communities of practice tool, which encourages connectivity and peer-to-peer learning opportunities, a tool that works like this: trainees become part of a learning community, they share information and they ask questions to advisors/mentors/trainers. This feature responded to their need of a collaborative learning platform, where everyone is actively involved in the learning process.
Solution
First, we showed the administrators how the platform works, how they add employees into the platform, upload materials, structure learning resources and conduct live sessions. Once all the trainees joined the platform, they started uploading learning materials and they encouraged their learners to do the same, so that Knolyx acted as a learning depository where they could refer back to training materials, creating a solid knowledge base for the one year learning programs they planned. After that, we introduced them to the communities of practice tools, where both trainers and trainees joined discussions, created topics of interest and shared learning materials, having the collaborative environment MMM Consulting was looking for.
Results
It’s been three years since we started working together, and MMM Consulting now acts both as a client for Knolyx, using it as a learning environment for their training delivery programs, and as a reseller for their various clients.
